Shirley M Green

Mrs. Shirley McClintock-Green, 78,  passed into eternity on  Thursday, October 17, 2024.   She was born on May 4, 1946, to the late Trustee George McClintock and Eva Glenn-McClintock.  She joins in eternal rest a brother, Julius Faye McClintock, and a sister, Dottiecee McClintock, and a special companion, Robert “Dickie” Jeter.

Mrs. Shirley McClintock-Green was a faithful member of Mt. Alexander Baptist Church.  She served in the Women’s Aide Missionary Society.  She was also a devoted member of the Roberta Liberty OES #133, Tamin Court #122 D.O.I. (Past Illustrious Commandress), and the Order of the Golden Circle.   Mrs. McClintock-Green was a diligent worker, providing for those she loved and always willing to help those in need.  Over the years, she was employed by the Carolina Blouse Company and Enro Shirt Company, and she retired from Siemens Energy and Automation.  Additionally, she was a graduate of New Bethel High School and of Ruthledge College where she earned an Associate Degree in Fashion and Merchandising.

Left to celebrate her life and cherish her memory are one daughter, Ms. Shirley Claudette “Charm” Green of Spartanburg, SC  and two sons, Mr. Willie Houston “Bill” Green, Jr. (Karen) of Taylors, SC, and Rev. Heyward Lamond Green of Woodruff, SC.  Her legacy also continues through her four grandchildren: Mrs. Shalon Green-Evins (Travis) of Moore, SC; Mr. MarQueal Byrd of Woodruff, SC; Mr. NaJarius Green (Zakijah Jeter) of Columbia, SC; and Ms. Jada Green of Morganton, NC; and her seven great grandchildren: Cadence Green, Camden Green, Keighan Green, London Byrd, Jihari Green, Jamari Green, and Kyra Byrd. She is also survived by one beloved sister, Rev. Yvonne McClintock-White (Howard) of Columbia, SC.

She was a wonderful cook, and she enjoyed celebrating and cooking for the grandchildren she so dearly loved.  She was truly dedicated to family.  Her kindness, sweetness, and compassion made a difference in each life she touched. She was a loving friend and neighbor who will be deeply missed.

Order Of Eastern Star Rites Will Be held at 5:00 pm Thursday at W J Gist Memorial Chapel.
