Lawrence A Scott

Obituary Lawrence “Anthony” Scott (1959-2024) age 65, of
Greer, SC passed away on September 13, 2024. He was born in
Greenville, SC and later moved to Greer, SC and attended
Woodruff High School, in Woodruff, SC.
Anthony, “Ant”, was a man of many talents and titles. As a
preteen, he developed a passion for Karate. He diligently
trained and competed in his discipline and later obtained the
rank of 3rd degree black belt in Kajukembo Karate. This
presented him with the title Sifu (which means teacher/
instructor). Throughout his career, he loved teaching family,
friends and his community the art of karate and motivated others to excel in martial arts
He also enjoyed listening to and creating music, comedy, loved
animals, reading his Bible, religious studies, fitness, health and wellness, and world issues.

.He had a very studious spirit about
him which was one of the many things people admired.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Floyd Scott II, and
survived by his common law spouse, Cindy Williams; his
children, Michael Whittenberg, Matthew Whittenberg, Jason
Adams, Jasmine Adams, Anthony Scott, and Tyimesha R. Scott;
Two grandchildren, Matthew C. Whittenberg and Zy ’ana Scott;
mother, Audrey Scott; siblings, Walter (Karen) Scott, Floyd Scott
III, Vanessa Scott, Sharon Scott, Linda Muhammed, and Teresa
(Frank) Gingerella ; fourteen nieces and nephews and fourteen
great nieces and nephews
