Brenda Landrum Obituary

Brenda Carol Smith- Landrum, 71, of Inman, SC., passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026. Born on February 2, 1955, in Beckley, West Virginia to the late William Lonnie Smith and Annell L, Smith. Brenda lived a life defined by love, faith, and devotion to her family and community. 

A proud graduate of Boiling Springs High School, Brenda furthered her education by earning an associate degree from Spartanburg Community College. Her career was marked by dedication and service. She worked at the National Beta Club Headquarters and Spartanburg Neurology Associates. She recently found joy in being a substitute teacher for Spartanburg School District One Schools, Brenda's nurturing spirit touched countless lives through her work and beyond.

Brenda was a lifelong member of Ridgeville Baptist Church, where her strong faith served as a cornerstone of life. She was known for her selflessness and kindness, always putting others before herself. Her nurturing nature extended far beyond her immediate family - she had a remarkable ability to care for everyone around her, raising not only her own children but also embracing the role of caregiver to many others. Her passions included tending to plants, journaling, crocheting and needlepoint. Brenda found joy in caregiving and took immense pride in loving and supporting her children and grandchildren. She also loved the serenity of the beach, where she could relax and reflect on life's blessings.

She is reunited in eternal peace with her beloved parents William Lonnie Smith and Annell L. Smith, her daughter Trista Landrum. sisters Rachel Smith. Mary Clark, Carolene Smith, and Gertrude Clements, Grandmother Lois Lyles, and special aunt Whitney Wilkins,

Brenda is survived by her loving children Adrienne Edmond (Romane), Billy Wayne Landrum Jr., and Caroline Landrum, her sister Janete Smith, grandchildren Langton Landrum, Leslie Boyd (Malcolm), Trenton Landrum, Deion Landrum, Caiden Edmond, Calista Landrum, and Tiana Landrum - Reyes, great - grandchildren Grayson and Caleigh Boyd, as well as a host of nieces, nephews a host of family members and friends, Her legacy of love will continue to shine brightly through them. 

Brenda's memory will forever be cherished by all who knew her. Her resilience, warmth, and unwavering, love leave an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched. May Brenda's legacy inspires all who were fortunate enough to know her.
