Alvin Sanders Clark

SMSGT Alvin Sanders Clark was born on March 12,1943 in Newberry County to the late Minerva Hunter Clark and Dan Clark Jr. He enter into eternal rest on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Union Medical Center. He was a devoted member of Seekwell Baptist Church and was ordained a Deacon in 2002. 

Mr. Clark was educated in the Union County School system and graduation from Sims High School in 1962. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1965 and honorable served his country until his retirement in 1987. He was later employed as a Logistics Manager at Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Laurens, SC from 1987 through 2003. In 2005, he and his brothers established Clark Enoree Sand, LLC, where he managed operations until his health declined.

Mr. Clark was predeceased by his first wife, Camellia Jean Clark; brothers, Daniel Woodrow (Karen) Clark, Lloyd Alonzo(Annie Laura) Clark, Edward Garnell Clark and James Lemmie Clark; fathers-in-law, Ned Hunter Sr. and Eugene Casey; one brother-in-law Ned Hunter Jr.

Surviving to cherish his precious memories are his wife, Lynda Casey Clark; daughter Jenell Clark (Rodney) Aughtry  of Whitmire, SC; sons Alvin Clark and Arjaevo (Raven) Casey of Greenville, SC; sister, Willie Mae Gray; brothers, George Ralph (Leila) Clark, John Robert( Linda) Clark; Ronald Eugene (Angela) Clark; all of Whitmire, SC; mother-in-law Frankie Hicks of Greensboro , NC, Claudia, NC, sister-in-law, Lillie Muriel Clark of Whitmire, SC, Cora( Anderson) Daniel of Greensboro , NC, Claudia Nalls of College Park, GA and Charlotte Hunter of Union City, GA; brother-in-law, Timothy (Mary) Greer of Prosper, Texas, Donald (Cynthia) Casey of Greensboro, NC and Carl Franklin of Decatur, GA; one aunt Mildred Clark of Philadelphia, PA; grandchildren; Quanice, Jalyn, Zaria, Nigel, Allana, Alissa, DJ, AJ, and Savannah; one great-grandchild Kai; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, February 10, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 1:30p.m. at W.J. Gist Mortuary, Woodruff, S.C. also from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00p.m. at Seekwell Baptist Church, Whitmire S.C. 

Funeral service will be held Saturday February 11, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Seekwell Baptist Church 6166 Brazelmans Bridge Rd. Whitmire, S.C. 29178 with full military rites
